Unwit

I found my screen name one night on Wordsplay.net as I was looking at its computer-generated list of the ten million words I had failed to find on its electronic Boggle-type board.

Unwit? WTF is that?”

Apparently  it IS a word, and it means

v. t. 1. To deprive of wit.
n. 1. Want of wit or understanding; ignorance.
Webster’s Revised Unabridged Dictionary, published 1913 by C. & G. Merriam Co.
I had found my true name.  After fourteen years’ gardening in Lexington, I now garden in South Frankfort, Kentucky.  My alter ego Karah Stokes teaches writing, literature, and cultural studies at Bluegrass Community and Technical College and Eastern Kentucky University.
